Hot fix

BOB crashed when NMEA ZDA sentence comes from a GPS with an invalid date. Some GPS’s send the date as 0/0/0 if it has an invalid fix.

Miscellaneous

• Change target export to output DD MMmmm (degrees and decimal minutes) instead of DMS (degrees, minutes, seconds).
• Improved editing location data and line bearing and heading tolerance fields.
• Increased precision of displacement in export to support higher sample rates.
• Fix infinite loop in interpolation during survey export or creating a surface plot if the first reading is included in the export.

Export Targets in New Formats. Target export could potentially output many columns. Users can select from three options:

• Detailed

•  Full

We implemented multi-select on the Target list so you can export all selected targets instead of just one.

When highlighting a section of the mag plot with alt-drag, the selection highlight shows a line at the center of the selection so you can more accurately select an anomaly and the surrounding area.

Miscellaneous

• Fixed: Export GXF from BAM surface plots was exporting partial grids.

• Fixed: Analytic Signal Scale was showing whole scale instead of restricting to the upper and lower limits set in Surface Plot dialog.

• Fixed: Derived Series would disappear when sampling with a Synapse System whenever the mag emitted an update for the system sensor list ($clst).

• Fixed: logic for gradient condition was reversed in the log table, so the absence of a gradient condition showed a red dot instead of a gradient condition doing so.

• Fixed: Altitude and Depth were missing from the Nav Assist in some circumstances

• Fixed: Placement of background images in an empty survey not placed properly after reloading the survey unless there was some other object in the survey like a Guide Line, or some data.

• Fixed: Survey export was not interpolating GPS positions. This was especially a problem for surveys that had a GPS sample rate slower than the mag sample rate.

• Fixed: For synapse surveys the “Derived Series” disappeared from the series list while sampling.

• Fixed: The Goto context menu item on a Target moves the Geo Plot like Markers and Survey Lines do.

Show/Hide columns in Log Table based on profile plot series’ visibility.

Annotate Data Series.

• In the layers of the profile plot you can make notes on series, and change the name or color.

Create derived series

• Any of the traces shown in the profile plot can be selected to create a new one that is smoothed with a de-spiker (median filter), and/or a smoothing algorithm — either moving average or savitsky-golay.
• Combine multiple data series by averaging, adding, subtracting, or taking the root of the sum of squares (RSS).
• These new series can be exported, or analyzed on the profile plot

Surface plot any data series

• Any of the traces shown in the profile plot or new derived series can be turned into a surface plot image. E.g. you can plot the bottom data series to get bathymetry charts.
• Users can chose a linear or an ‘equal area’ color scale based on a histogram of the data. (Total Field plots use this implicitly, Gradient plots use linear scales.)

• Auto-detect if you have Synapse 1.0 or Synapse 2.0 systems.
• Auto-detection of the mag and transceiver protocol is improved.
• Node firmware vision is shown on status panel now.
• Fixed: Guide Line import from delimited text file.
